AUMT 2457 - Automotive Alternative Power and Fuels
4 credit hours.
Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of lecture and two hours of lab each week.
A study of the automotive or light truck alternative power sources and the composition of various alternative fuels used in vehicles including applications, retrofit procedures, emission standards, availability, and cost effectiveness. Study licensing and certifications requirements to be a certified technician. Overview of federal and state legislation concerning alternative power applications and fuels. May be taught with manufacturer specifics.
