MUSI 1312 - Music Theory II 3 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of class each week Prerequisite(s): MUSI 1311 . To be taken concurrently with MUSI 1117 The study of analysis and writing of tonal melody and diatonic harmony, including all diatonic chords and seventh chords in root position and inversions, non-chord tones, and functional harmony. Introduction to more complex topics, such as modulation, may occur. Optional correlated study at the keyboard.
Note: Scholarships are available to deserving students, regardless of major. Interested students should contact the music faculty advisor for audition times and details.
