Students should consult a faculty advisor or an academic advisor early in their program of study. These are suggested courses for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university and major in physics. Transferability and specific requirements can be determined only by the receiving institution. Only college-level courses apply toward completion of this curriculum and the graduation requirements for the A.S.

Core Curriculum Requirements (42 Credit Hours)


Mathematics


Additional 1 hour will apply to Major Course Requirements.

Life and Physical Sciences


Additional 2 hours will apply to Major Course Requirements.

Language, Philosophy and Culture


Choose one course from the following:

American History


Choose two courses from the following:

Government/Political Science


Two courses.

Social and Behavioral Sciences


Component Area Option (CAO) A


Choose one course from the following:

Component Area Option (CAO) B


Additional 1 hour will apply to Major Course Requirements.

Major Course Requirements


Additional 3 hours from Life and Physical Sciences and 1 hour from Mathematics.

Minimum Required - 60 Credit Hours
