HIST 2321 - World Civilization I 3 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of class each week This course traces the development of world civilization from antiquity to the seventeenth century. Topics include ancient Egyptian, Mid-Eastern, Oriental, Greek and Roman civilizations; the impact of Judeo-Christianity; the medieval world and the Byzantine Empire; the Renaissance; the Protestant Reformation; and the rise of early-modern Europe. Civilizations and cultural achievements are studied in light of their impact on today’s world.
