4 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: One hour of lecture and six hours of lab each week. Prerequisite(s): Completion of a basic nursing skills course Travel study to Guatemala to provide basic nursing care in a rural health clinic. Develop nursing assessment and medical Spanish skills while providing health promotion and basic care to medically-underserved clients in a rural region. Passports and immunizations are required.
