RNSG 1343 - Complex Concepts of Adult Health


3 credit hours.
Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of lecture and one hour of lab each week
Prerequisite: RNSG 1341 

Integration of previous knowledge and skills related to increasing problems in adult health needs into the continued development of the professional nurse as a provider of care, coordinator of care, and member of a profession in the care of adult clients/families in structured health care settings with complex medical-surgical health care needs associated with body systems. Emphasis is on ingestive, elimination, respiratory, mobility, and circulatory and metabolic concerns and the knowledge, judgments, skills, professional values and application of the curricular threads of nutrition, culture, safety, evidence based practice, problem solving process, communication, health promotion, and pharmacology to care for clients within a legal/ethical framework.
