MUSI 1304 - Foundations in Music 3 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of class each week. This is a study of the basic fundamentals of music with an introduction to melodic, rhythmic, and harmonic instruments. Practical skills are developed by means of sight singing, conducting, rhythm drills, and the use of the piano as a basic tool in music study. No previous musical training required.
Note: Scholarships are available to deserving students, regardless of major. Interested students should contact the music faculty advisor for audition times and details.
