Students should consult a faculty advisor or an academic advisor early in their program of study. The Criminal Justice program offers instruction and training for individuals who are seeking careers in Criminal Justice or related fields and do not intend to transfer to a four-year institution.

Core Curriculum Requirements (39 Credit Hours)

Communication: 6 Hours

Choose one course from the following:
ENGL 1301 - English Composition I 3 credit hours.
ENGL 2311 - Technical and Business Writing 3 credit hours. and
Choose one course from the following:
SPCH 1315 - Public Speaking 3 credit hours.
SPCH 1321 - Business and Professional Communication 3 credit hours.

Mathematics, Science or Computer Technology: 6 Hours

(3 hours of Math options required)

Choose one course from the following:
MATH 1314 - College Algebra 3 credit hours.
MATH 1342 - Introductory Statistics 3 credit hours. (preferred)
