Students should consult a faculty advisor or an academic advisor early in their program of study. These are suggested courses for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university and major in psychology. Transferability and specific requirements can be determined only by the receiving institution. Only college-level courses apply toward completion of this curriculum and the graduation requirements for the A.S.

Communication

ENGL 1301 - English Composition I 3 credit hours. and
Choose one from the following:
SPCH 1315 - Public Speaking 3 credit hours.
SPCH 1321 - Business and Professional Communication 3 credit hours.

Mathematics

Choose one course from the following:

MATH 1314 - College Algebra 3 credit hours.
MATH 1316 - College Trigonometry 3 credit hours.
MATH 1324 - Finite Mathematics 3 credit hours.
MATH 1342 - Introductory Statistics 3 credit hours. (preferred)

Life and Physical Sciences

Choose two courses from the following:

BIOL 1406 - General Biology I 4 credit hours.
BIOL 1407 - General Biology II 4 credit hours.
BIOL 1408 - Introduction to Biology I 4 credit hours.
BIOL 1409 - Introduction to Biology II 4 credit hours.
CHEM 1411 - General Chemistry I 4 credit hours.
CHEM 1412 - General Chemistry II 4 credit hours.
PHYS 1401 - General Physics I 4 credit hours.
PHYS 1402 - General Physics II 4 credit hours.
PHYS 1415 - Introduction to Physical Science I 4 credit hours.
