MDCA 1348 - Pharmacology & Administration of Medications 3 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Two hours of lecture and four hours of lab each week. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Medical Assistant Program, MDCA 1317 , MATH 1314 or MATH 1342 Instruction in concepts and application of pharmacological principles. Focuses on drug classifications, principles, and procedures of medication administration, mathematical systems and conversions, calculation of drug problems, and medico-legal responsibilities of the medical assistant.
