MUSI 1301 - Fundamentals of Music 3 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of class each week This is an introduction to the elements of music, including study of the staff, clefs, key signatures, scales, time signatures, notation, meter and rhythm, sight singing, major and minor chords; application of theory at the keyboard; rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic ear training.
Note: Scholarships are available to deserving students, regardless of major. Interested students should contact the music faculty advisor for audition times and details.
