3 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of lecture each week with 16 hours field experience in addition. This course is designed to introduce the student to teaching as a career choice. Students will have an opportunity to participate in a field experience in the public school setting in any level K-12. Different aspects of the teaching/learning process will be explored. Cultural differences and special needs will be discussed along with the psychological approaches to teaching. Observation experiences in the classroom will be provided.
