MATH 1324 - Finite Mathematics 3 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of class each week. Prerequisite: MATH 0305 or its equivalent, or an appropriate placement score Finite Mathematics is a first course in finite mathematics for business majors with emphasis on applications to modern business practices. Topics to be developed include the application of common algebraic functions, including polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and rational, to problems in business, economics, and the social sciences. The applications include mathematics of finance, including simple and compound interest and annuities; systems of linear equations; matrices; linear programming; probability, including expected value; and statistics, including normal distribution. Three hours credit. (Fall, Spring, Summer)
