The Health Informatics program is designed to prepare graduates for an evolving specialization that links information technology, communications, and healthcare to improve the quality and safety of patient care. Topics that are explored in health informatics include how the acquisition, storage, retrieval and the use of health data plays a critical role in enhancing the quality of care, reducing the costs of delivery, and addressing population health issues.
