GEOL 1404 - Historical Geology
4 credit hours.
Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of lecture and three hours of lab each week.
Prerequisite: GEOL 1403 or permission of instructor.
Principles of historical geology. Investigates the rock and fossil record to unravel the history of the continents, oceans, and life on earth. Topics include relative and absolute dating, stratigraphy, the evolution of life, and geologic history with an emphasis on North America.
