VNSG 1306 - Maternal/Newborn Nursing 3 credit hours. Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Two hours lecture and four hours of lab each week. Prerequisite: Completion of VNSG 1304 and VNSG 1502 Co-requisites: VNSG 1162
A study of the biological, psychological, and sociological concepts applicable to basic needs of the family including childbearing and neonatal care. Topics include physiological changes related to pregnancy, fetal development, and nursing care of the family during antepartal labor, delivery and the puerperium.
