Students should consult a faculty advisor or an academic advisor early in their program of study. The Dental Hygiene Program is designed to prepare competent dental hygienist to meet the oral healthcare needs of the public. Successful completion of the course of study will qualify the graduate to take the examination for registered dental hygiene licensure. The Program is accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Only college-level courses apply toward completion of this curriculum and the graduation requirements for the A.A.S.

General Education Requirements (31 Credit Hours)
Composition: 3 Hours
One course: Mathematics: 3 Hours
Choose one course from the following: Speech: 3 Hours
Choose one course from the following: Natural Sciences: 16 Hours
Humanities or Visual and Performing Arts Elective: 3 Hours
Choose one course from the following: Social and Behavioral Sciences: 3 Hours
One course: Dental Hygiene Concentration (41 Credit Hours)
Minimum Required - 72 Credit Hours
