Leading to a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies Degree at Texas A & M University at Texarkana
Faculty Advisor: Dr. Shirley Clay • 903-434-8276 (sclay@ntcc.edu)
The following Associate of Science Degree program is intended to provide the first two years toward a bachelor’s degree and a teaching certificate. An articulation agreement has been developed with Texas A&M University at Texarkana in this field. However, students may use this plan for preparing for other teacher education fields at other universities. Transferability and specific requirements can be determined only by the receiving institution. Only college-level courses apply toward completion of this curriculum and the graduation requirements for the A.S. Students should consult with a faculty advisor or a counselor to design a specific teacher education program of study. With a nation-wide and state-wide shortage of teachers, there are excellent career opportunities in teaching.
