SOCW 2389 - Academic Cooperative
3 credit hours.
Lecture/Lab/Clinical: Three hours of lecture each week.
A supervised experiential learning course designed to integrate program study with introductory exposure to the field of social work. In conjunction with individual study and/or seminars, the student will set specific goals and objectives in the study of social work and/or social institutions. The academic cooperative is not a social work skills-based practice experience, but instead, an observation volunteer experience. This course must include a minimum of 80 contact hours (48 hours in a social service setting).
